Teaware: Tea Tongs (Pure Titanium)

The ovanyu Pure Titanium Tea Tongs are built for the detail-oriented tea table. The tong arms are formed from a single piece of pure titanium, curved at the tips for a secure, controlled grip on cups of any size. The handles are fitted with natural wood panels — available in rosewood or ebony — riveted cleanly to the titanium frame. The result is a tool that is simultaneously precise in function and composed in appearance: a pair of tongs that earns a permanent place beside the teapot rather than disappearing into a drawer.

• Pure Titanium Arms — The tong arms are crafted from pure titanium: lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and completely flavor-neutral. Titanium will not rust or stain with regular exposure to hot water and tea, and the smooth surface is easy to wipe clean after each session.
• Two Wood Handle Options — Choose rosewood for a warm, reddish-brown tone that adds natural color to the tea table, or ebony for a near-black depth that pairs with more restrained, monochromatic setups. Both woods are dense, smooth, and riveted securely to the titanium frame.
• Integrated One-Piece Construction — The titanium arms are formed as a single continuous piece, with no hinges, springs, or joints that can loosen or wear over time. The natural spring tension of the titanium provides consistent, reliable grip without mechanical complexity.
• Curved Tip Design — The gently curved tips conform naturally to the exterior of a teacup, providing a secure hold without slipping — practical for rinsing cups with hot water or presenting cups to guests without direct hand contact.
• Built to Last — Titanium’s inherent durability combined with solid wood handles and clean riveted construction makes this a tool that holds up to daily use without showing it.

• Material: Pure titanium arms, natural wood handle panels (rosewood or ebony)
• Length: 17 cm
• Available Handle Options: Rosewood, Ebony
• Construction: Single-piece titanium frame with riveted wood panels
• Care: Wipe the titanium arms dry after use; wipe wood panels dry and avoid prolonged water exposure

1. Hold the tongs naturally in one hand — the titanium spring tension keeps them open at rest and closes with a light squeeze.
2. Use the curved tips to lift and hold individual teacups when rinsing with hot water before serving, or to present cups to guests hygienically.
3. After use, wipe the titanium arms and wood panels dry with a soft cloth and rest the tongs on your tea tray or in your tool holder.

Q: Do the tongs require any assembly?
A: No. The tongs arrive fully assembled — the wood panels are riveted to the titanium frame and ready to use.

Q: How strong is the grip?
A: The grip tension comes from the natural spring of the titanium arms rather than a mechanical spring or hinge. It provides a firm, consistent hold on standard teacups and is controlled easily with one hand.

Q: Will the titanium rust or stain over time?
A: No. Pure titanium is highly corrosion-resistant and will not rust or stain with normal use and exposure to hot water. Wiping dry after use is sufficient care for the metal components.

Q: How do I care for the wood handle panels?
A: Wipe the wood panels dry after each use. Avoid soaking or prolonged water exposure. Conditioning with a food-safe wood oil occasionally will help maintain the natural finish of both rosewood and ebony over time.
