1. As a lid rest: Place the lid rest on your tea tray beside the teapot. After each steeping, rest the teapot or gaiwan lid flat-side down on the top of the lid rest to keep it clean and stable between pours.
2. As an incense holder: Insert an incense stick into the central hole and position the lid rest on a heat-safe surface away from direct contact with teaware. The walnut base keeps the stick upright and stable while it burns.
3. Wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp cloth after each session.

Q: Will the walnut surface be damaged by contact with a wet teapot lid?
A: Occasional moisture contact is fine for dense walnut wood. Wipe the surface dry after each session to maintain the finish over time. Prolonged soaking in water is not recommended.

Q: What size incense sticks fit in the holder?
A: The central hole accommodates standard-width incense sticks. Very thick incense sticks may not fit; standard Chinese or Japanese incense sticks are compatible.

Q: Does the lid rest come with a protective finish or coating?
A: No. The lid rest is left in its natural walnut state without lacquer or coating, which allows the wood to develop its own patina naturally over time through handling and use.

A: The flat top of the lid rest is 3 cm in diameter, suitable for most standard teapot and gaiwan lids. Very large lids may extend over the edges, but will rest stably as long as the center is supported.

We offer a 14-day return policy, meaning you can request a return within 14days of receiving your item.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn or unused, with tags attached, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
For returns due to personal reasons (non-quality issues), the buyer is responsible for shipping costs; for returns due to quality issues, the seller covers the shipping costs.

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as perishable goods (like food, flowers, or plants), custom products (like special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (like beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about a specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if the goods are being shipped to the EU, you have the right to cancel your order or return the items within 14 days without providing a reason. As previously stated, returned items must be in the same condition as when you received them—unworn or unused, with tags intact, and in their original packaging. You will also need to provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund request has been approved. If approved, the refund will be automatically issued to your original payment method; funds typically appear in your account within 10 business days.
We will issue a full refund if the return is due to an issue on the seller's part; however, if the return is for personal reasons, the buyer is responsible for shipping costs and a 5% transaction processing fee.

Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
