The ovanyu Zinc Alloy & Nan Bamboo Cup Coaster is built from two materials working in combination: a zinc alloy outer frame cast in one of five silhouettes — two petal forms, two round forms, and one square — and a nan bamboo woven insert fitted into the recessed center. The alloy frame carries a fine leopard-spot relief texture across its face and is finished in an antique silver tone that reads closer to aged pewter than bright chrome. The bottom is hand-ground by the maker to sit flat and stable on the table surface. The bamboo insert is woven in a standard over-under pattern from nan bamboo strips and provides the contact surface for the cup base. Five forms are available, each approximately 7.5–8.0 cm in diameter — sized to work under a standard gongfu teacup or small glazed cup.

• Zinc Alloy Frame with Leopard Relief Texture — The outer frame is cast from zinc alloy and carries a fine, all-over leopard-spot relief pattern across the face and rim. The texture is cast into the alloy rather than applied to the surface, so it is part of the material structure and does not wear off with use. The antique silver finish gives the frame a muted, aged tone that sits naturally alongside dark ceramic, clay teaware, and wood.
• Nan Bamboo Woven Insert — The center insert is woven from nan bamboo strips in an over-under weave. The bamboo surface provides a slightly cushioned, textured contact point for the cup base and a material contrast to the metal frame around it. The warm amber tone of the bamboo weave against the grey alloy is the primary visual detail of the coaster.
• Hand-Ground Base for Stability — The bottom of each coaster is hand-ground by the maker to ensure it sits flat on the table without rocking. The ground surface also means the coaster does not scratch tray or table surfaces when moved during a session.
• Five Forms: Two Petal, Two Round, One Square — The five silhouettes offer practical variety for different table arrangements. The petal forms have a scalloped edge that adds visual interest at small scale; the round forms are the most neutral; the square form suits a more geometric table arrangement. All five are approximately the same working diameter (7.5–8.0 cm) and function identically under a cup.

• Single cup use: Place the coaster on the tea tray or table surface and set a teacup or small cup directly on the bamboo woven center. The insert provides a stable, slightly cushioned resting point for the cup base.
• Multiple coasters: Set one coaster per cup position on the tray before guests arrive. The five available forms can be mixed across the table or matched by form for a more uniform arrangement.
• After use: Wipe the alloy frame dry with a soft cloth. If the bamboo insert has absorbed moisture, allow it to air dry fully before stacking the coasters for storage.

Q: Is the bamboo insert removable?
A: The bamboo insert is fitted into the recessed center of the alloy frame and is not designed to be removed for separate cleaning. Wipe both elements together with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.

Q: Will the antique silver finish tarnish over time?
A: Zinc alloy with an antique silver finish develops minor surface variation with handling over time, which typically adds to the aged, patinated appearance of the piece rather than degrading it. Wiping with a soft cloth periodically will maintain the surface without removing the finish.

Q: What size teacup does this fit under?
A: The coasters are sized at 7.5–8.0 cm in diameter, which accommodates the base of most standard gongfu teacups (typically 4.5–6 cm base diameter) with a visible frame border around the cup base. They are not sized for large mugs or Western-style cups.

Q: Can I mix different forms on the same tea table?
A: Yes. All five forms share the same alloy material and finish, so mixing silhouettes — for example, using petal and round forms together — is visually coherent.

   Free shipping on orders of $59 or more; a $15 shipping fee applies to orders under $59. Subscription items ship for free.

We offer a 14-day return policy, meaning you can request a return within 14days of receiving your item.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn or unused, with tags attached, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
For returns due to personal reasons (non-quality issues), the buyer is responsible for shipping costs; for returns due to quality issues, the seller covers the shipping costs.

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as perishable goods (like food, flowers, or plants), custom products (like special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (like beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about a specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if the goods are being shipped to the EU, you have the right to cancel your order or return the items within 14 days without providing a reason. As previously stated, returned items must be in the same condition as when you received them—unworn or unused, with tags intact, and in their original packaging. You will also need to provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund request has been approved. If approved, the refund will be automatically issued to your original payment method; funds typically appear in your account within 10 business days.
We will issue a full refund if the return is due to an issue on the seller's part; however, if the return is for personal reasons, the buyer is responsible for shipping costs and a 5% transaction processing fee.
