The ovanyu Zhu Yun Rock-Surface Tea Tray series combines two materials that each carry their own visual weight: a stone surface with natural cleft texture — dark grey, with tonal variation moving between slate and charcoal across each piece — and a moso bamboo frame formed to echo bamboo-joint profiles around the perimeter. Each tray is carved from a single solid block in one pass, leaving no seams and no joins that can absorb moisture or work open over time. Eight tray forms and two coaster sets are available, ranging from a compact round cup coaster set to a long oval serving tray — all sharing the same material combination and surface character.

• Natural Stone Surface with Cleft Texture — The tray surface is stone with a natural cleft finish — the dark grey ground carries mineral variation in tone and texture that makes each piece visually distinct. The surface is not polished smooth; it retains the irregular depth of the original stone face, which gives it a presence on the tea table that flat, uniform materials do not.
• Single-Piece Carved Construction — Each tray is hollowed from a single solid block in one forming pass, with no assembly, no adhesive joins, and no laminated layers. The single-piece construction means there are no internal gaps for moisture to enter and no seam lines to separate with heat or water exposure over time.
• Moso Bamboo Joint Frame — The perimeter of each tray is shaped to echo the segmented profile of moso bamboo — a recurring motif in Chinese decorative art — adding a structured visual edge to the organic stone surface. • Dry-brewing tray (large forms): Place the tray on your tea table as the central working surface. Set the teapot, gaiwan, or fairness pitcher on the stone surface. The cleft texture provides grip; the anti-slip pad keeps the tray stable. Wipe the surface dry after each session.
• Serving tray (long oval, begonia, ruyi): Use the larger, longer forms to present cups to guests — the stone surface and bamboo edge frame the cups without requiring additional decoration.
• Cup coaster set: Pull individual coasters from the stand as needed and place under individual cups on the tea table. Return to the stand for compact storage between sessions.
• Mixed arrangement: Trays of different forms in the same series can be arranged together on a larger tea table — the shared material language keeps the arrangement cohesive regardless of the mix of shapes.

Q: Will the stone surface vary between pieces?
A: Yes. The natural stone surface has tonal and textural variation that makes each tray slightly different from the next. Dark grey is the consistent base tone, but the mineral patterning, cleft depth, and surface color distribution vary naturally between pieces. This is characteristic of the material.

Q: Is the stone surface porous? Will it stain?
A: Natural stone surfaces have some porosity. Wiping the tray dry after each session and avoiding leaving wet items sitting on the surface for extended periods will minimize any staining risk. The dark base tone of the stone also means that minor tea contact is not visually significant.

Q: Can I use these trays with a drainage system?
A: These are dry-brewing style trays without a drainage hole or collection drawer. They are designed for use with minimal water overflow — wipe the surface clean between steepings rather than rinsing with water.

Q: Can I mix different forms from the same series on one tea table?
A: Yes. All forms in the Zhu Yun series share the same stone surface and bamboo frame construction, so pieces of different shapes can be used together without looking mismatched.

   Free shipping on orders of $59 or more; a $15 shipping fee applies to orders under $59. Subscription items ship for free.

We offer a 14-day return policy, meaning you can request a return within 14days of receiving your item.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn or unused, with tags attached, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
For returns due to personal reasons (non-quality issues), the buyer is responsible for shipping costs; for returns due to quality issues, the seller covers the shipping costs.

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as perishable goods (like food, flowers, or plants), custom products (like special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (like beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about a specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if the goods are being shipped to the EU, you have the right to cancel your order or return the items within 14 days without providing a reason. As previously stated, returned items must be in the same condition as when you received them—unworn or unused, with tags intact, and in their original packaging. You will also need to provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund request has been approved. If approved, the refund will be automatically issued to your original payment method; funds typically appear in your account within 10 business days.
We will issue a full refund if the return is due to an issue on the seller's part; however, if the return is for personal reasons, the buyer is responsible for shipping costs and a 5% transaction processing fee.

Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
