Glass Fairness Pitcher

The ovanyu Glass Fairness Pitcher is crafted from high-borosilicate glass, bringing quiet elegance and practical precision to every pour. Its clear walls reveal the full, living color of your tea — from pale gold sencha to deep amber pu-erh — so the ritual of sharing tea becomes as visual as it is sensory. A warm wooden handle completes the piece, offering a secure, comfortable grip that balances the clarity of glass with the grounded warmth of natural material.

• Ideal Capacity for Sharing — At 320ml, it holds enough for two to three cups, perfect for a focused solo session or an intimate sharing ceremony.

1. Warm the pitcher with hot water before use to stabilize the temperature of your pour.
2. After steeping, decant your brewed tea from the teapot into the pitcher to halt further infusion and ensure an even, consistent cup.
3. Pour from the pitcher into individual cups for a balanced serving every time.
4. Rinse with warm water after use and allow to air dry.

Q: Is this pitcher microwave-safe?
A: We recommend using it with conventionally brewed tea only — not for microwave use.

Q: Can it handle boiling water?
A: Yes. High-borosilicate glass is designed to withstand sudden temperature changes and is suitable for use with boiling or near-boiling tea.

Q: What is the purpose of a fairness pitcher (gongdaobei)?
A: A fairness pitcher collects brewed tea from the teapot before serving, stopping further steeping and ensuring each cup receives the same strength and flavor.

Q: How do I care for the wood handle?
A: Wipe the handle dry after each use. Avoid prolonged soaking in water to preserve the natural wood finish.

Q: Does it come in other sizes?
A: This pitcher is currently available in 320ml. Follow ovanyu for updates on new additions to the collection.
